Our organization was established with the goal of giving armwrestlers of all skill levels, from beginners to experts, a place to gather, compete, learn from, and develop on. Our goal is to establish a welcoming environment that supports the quest of excellence and total promotion of armwrestling in India.
One of our main goals is to host championships and tournaments of the highest calibre all over India that will highlight the tremendous talent and spirit of competition found within our federation. These competitions give athletes a stage on which to display their talents, compete in a positive way, and develop enduring relationships with people who share their interests.
Our federation’s other main pillars are growth and education. We are dedicated to giving referees the tools they need to make the best decisions and conduct matches to the highest standards. This applies to both athletes and refs. In addition, we are committed to sustaining the greatest levels of ethics, morality, and sportsmanship.
We value the opinions and involvement of our members. We promote candid communication, teamwork, and participation in determining the direction of our federation. Together, we can create a climate that encourages athletes, coaches, and spectators to reach their full potential.

Focus
- To Focus on uniting All India Arm Wrestling State Association and Players.
- To promote amateur and professional Arm wrestling across the country with the help of state units.
- To promote and encourage more Championships and athlete’s federation will make various Zonal Federation
- To focus Affiliation from the Ministry of Sports and Youth affairs and other sports authorities of the government.
- To focus on enrolling in Arm Wrestling in the All India University Games
Organize
- Promoting armwrestling in the grass root level.
- To promote Arm Wrestling in physically challenged, Girls and Women and provide best resources to motivate them.
- To organize the National championship as International standard.
- To organize special training camps in all affiliated state units for Players and referees.
- To help state unites to get support from their respective state governments.

- To Promote and support poor and talented athletes to bring them to the next level.
- To make the Federation stronger so that we can host the Asian and World championship in India.
- To make the environment friendly between the National federation and State units for smooth management.

Ms. Preeti Jhangiani
President of Maharashtra Arm-Wrestling Federation
She is one of the biggest names in the Indian cinema, but now she adorns an entrepreneurial hat. She co-founded Pro Panja League, which is currently the biggest Arm wrestling league in the world. It was founded in 2020 and has quickly become the top name in the Arm wrestling world. She was named the President of the Maharashtra Arm-Wrestling Association.
Laxman Singh Bhandari
General Secretary and Coach, Armwrestling Association of New Delhi, Founder Royal Sports Club, Technical Advisor Indian Arm Wrestling, Sr. Referee, World and Asian Arm Wrestling Federation
Laxman Singh Bhandari has trained thousands of armwrestlers and still continues giving training. He has very strong relations and great respect in all India state associations and players. He has dedicated his life to promote armwrestling and since 1989 he is an active Arm Wrestler himself and has won numerous championships in state, national and International level.
Dr. Shrikant Varankar
General Secretary – Maharashtra Arm Wrestling Association and Senior Vice president – Indian Arm Wrestling Federation
Dr Shrikant Varankar deserves a big credit for the growth of the sport in Maharashtra. Dr Shrikant is currently the General Secretary of Maharashtra Arm Wrestling Association and Senior Vice president of Indian Arm Wrestling Federation. He is also the General Secretary of World Yoga Sports Federation, Asian Strengthlifting Federation, Indian Pole Sports Association. He also serves as the treasurer for World Strengthlifting Federation.
Tariq Khan
General Secretary of Madhya Pradesh Armwrestling
Association
He has played a significant role in promoting the sport of Armwrestling in the state of Madhya Pradesh. He is an advocate by profession and is the current General Secretary of Madhya Pradesh Armwrestling Association. He is also a national level referee. He has a 25 years of experience in Armwrestling and he himself was a top Armwrestler in Madhya Pradesh, having won the Champion of Champions award in the State Championship in 2003.
Tapas Bhowmick
Secretary – Tripura Arm Wrestling Federation
He has been associated in some capacity with the sport since 1976. With nearly half a century of association with the sport, he has a lot of wisdom to share with the Arm Wrestling world. Apart from being the Secretary of the Tripura Arm Wrestling Association, Mr Tapas Bhowmick is also a member of Tripura Olympic Association and the Joint Secretary of the Tripura Weightlifting Association.
